18 Aug '07. Went on a bike tour of Lopez Island with one of the Meetup groups. Beforehand, I knew only a couple of the people. This was a good way to make more friends. Lopez is supposed to be the flattest of the San Juan Islands, with only "gently rolling hills", but there was quite a bit of pedaling to do, and the less prepared found it too much for one day. (We did about 25 miles roundtrip.) It was a cloudy day, which helped with the biking and saved us from getting sunburnt, but it wasn't great for pictures. The experience was all worthwhile, though.
