The plan was really just to get in the water and explore Kirkland's lakeshore, but somehow the idea of finding Bill's house became too irresistible, even though the distance seemed somewhat discouraging. With the help of a mobile phone and a GPS receiver we found the coordinates of the target and zeroed in on it. Unfortunately, we did not get a welcoming tea & cookies reception at the destination. Instead, a security guard followed us paddle around with a stern look. But, still, it was a rewarding pilgrimage for two faithful servants of the Empire.
