6 July '08. Goat Lake is nestled in a beautiful cirque off the Mountain Loop Highway, just a few miles past Barlow Pass. This was supposed to be a July 4th calorie burn-off hike. ;-) It wasn't challenging but good length: we did 11-12 miles roundtrip, with some scrambling around the lake.
